Ok, no I'm not God.
But in my dream this morning I was, and I was telling "my people" that everyone had to do 3 good things that they had been thinking about doing for other people but just hadn't got around to do doing.
3 things that would improve the world in some way, make someone's day brighter or easier.
If I was God, and I had to have commandments, that would be one of them: Thou shalt do good things.
Well, if I was God I'd be able to write something more clever than that, but you get the idea.
I am off to figure out my 3 things. . . .

It's been on my heart to do something for the poor and hurting in my community. A bunch of people I know are going to do a big thanksgiving dinner for the homeless in a park on the other side of town. I'm cooking turkey, potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and pie for 20 people. Then DH, Rylie and I are all going to go serve it the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I'm actually really looking forward to it.

This afternoon the boys and I are (hopefully) going to go over to a nursing home to join a costume parade for the residents. The evite is one of the most responded to of any I've seen from this group. I think people want to do good things, but I sure wish all of us would more often!
