one must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star
I think that your MIL and mine are sisters!!!! Thats one reason we moved almost 1000 miles! I hope you found some peace after writting this. And I hope your DH will enjoy his relationship with his dad. Hugs to you guys.
Thanks Tanya! I did feel better. It was a nice vent. It's hard to watch DH being reminded of the mistreatment by his father by his own mother. Grrr. . .
You tell her! Seriously I know what you mean. My story isn't as bad. My SIL used to go on and on about how my DH messed up his first year of college. She'd go on and on about it saying how she told her patients (she's a doctor) about it as a life lesson, etc. It PISSED ME OFF. My husband has a Ph.D and a great job. He's wonderful. WHO CARES if he had one bad year of school? He said it didn't bother him, but it sure bothered me. I told him I was going to let her have it if she did it again and he spoke to his mom who must have said something to her. She's never mentioned it again. So I never had to pull out the big guns but I would have! All this to say I know how you feel! And you are SO right. That has GOT to stop!
